Tell TV Manufacturers: Take Back My TV

Each year more than 50 million new televisions are sold in the US. Old and new alike, TVs contain a dizzying array of toxic chemicals and heavy metals. With the growing popularity of flat screen TVs, and the switch to digital TV signals complete, the sheer volume of TVs headed to our landfills has gotten out of control.

Help the cause today by personally writing letters to the CEO’s of major TV manufacturers to tell them to wake up and take responsibility.

It’s time to hold TV manufacturers responsible just as they are in other countries of the world—including Japan, Taiwan and throughout the European Union. Despite making billions in profits importing and selling TVs, most manufacturers currently play no role in safely dealing with the waste.
